Scars

Everyone has scars,
but there are some you cannot see.
Scars of the mental and emotional kind
are hidden from you and me.

Tho they come out in one’s actions
and in the words spoken as well.
Sometimes it’s easy to overlook.
Sometimes it hurts like hell.

That’s why it’s important to deal
with the issues that caused you pain
Otherwise you’ll leave scars
on the ones who bare your name.
