New In Town

I moved to NY 14 days ago. It’s been a blur, but life is starting to feel organized. And thankfully, I have a friend to stay with until I get things aligned on the job-front. I’ve met with recruiters, upgraded my LinkedIn account, checked into networking events and gotten into the groove of the whole “finding a job” thing.

So tonight, I’m sitting at a park relaxing and pondering. Oh, how I do like to ponder. I flip my Bible open and an underlined section stares back at me… “I will lead the blind in ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them & make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” – Isaiah 42:16

It can feel “blinding” to uproot one’s life and move to a new place—even when it is with intention. So I take comfort and rest in those words, for in the unfamiliar paths I will be guided.

What wonderful timing—a God wink.
