I went down to the river.
I stepped in.
All I wanted was an escape.
From my sin.
The rain started pouring.
Pouring down on me.
I raised my hands to the Heavens.
And it’s tears set me free.
I heard a voice whisper.
Through the thundering rain.
Hold on my daughter, hold on to me.
Hold on sweet daughter, rest in me.
You’re enough.
You’ll get through.
All you need is within.
Trust and believe.
I see no sin.
You’re holy.
You’re righteous.
You’re created perfectly
You’re made in My image.
You’re a part of Me.
I went down to the river.
I stepped in.
And Heaven spoke.
To me.
